Ray Maskell

 

Ray died of cancer in 2007. Before working for IMPACT Partners, Ray had been operating as an independent consultant in the Financial Markets, developing and implementing IT strategies for several International Insurance companies and Banks. Prior to that he held positions at Merrill Lynch, Europe and Smith New Court as Director of Information Technology and had similar roles at Midland Bank and Chase Manhattan in London. He was also instrumental in developing Andersen Consulting’s practice in Brazil where he was based for several years.

Ray adopted a pragmatic and business oriented approach to IT and had a solid track record of leading complex and innovative technology programmes and delivering them to time and budget.  In recent years he had transformed and extended the distribution channels for a number of clients by establishing and using leading technology solutions and an e-commerce infrastructure. He was also very experienced in the negotiation of outsourced contracts with major IT companies in order to deliver cost effective services as an integral part of a client’s operation.

Ray had a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from Birmingham University and had an ACMA from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Ray was a U.K. citizen and was based in the U.K and Brazil previously. He was fluent in Portuguese and had a working knowledge of Spanish.
