Ian McKay

 

Ian has worked for IMPACT Partners for 8 years. He has executive management and Board level experience within major U.K. Banks (Midland Group, Kleinwort Benson) and International Telecoms companies (Cable & Wireless, NTL) with responsibilities spanning P&L improvement, major business acquisitions, restructuring and expansion initiatives, operations and customer services, information technology and business development. He has worked internationally in many countries: Spain, France, Holland, USA., Japan, Australasia, and the U.K. Ian has extensive management consultancy experience gained with Andersen Consulting U.K. where he was an Associate Partner and at KPMG, New Zealand, where was a Director and set up a Financial Services practice. He has worked at Board level with many Blue Chip international organisations in the Financial, Retail, Manufacturing and Government sectors, defining and leading strategic business initiatives.

In recent years, as an interim executive and manager, Ian has led major Transformation and Delivery Programmes in the Financial, Telecoms, Retail, Property and Public sectors. He is particularly keen on new business and technology ventures, growth and expansion within Europe and the development of a company’s overall human resource ‘capital’ through their active involvement in change and his coaching/mentoring approach. In most cases Ian’s work has been driven by short timescales and rapidly changing markets.

Ian holds an MBA from the Open Business School and has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics with Computer Science from the University of London. He also has a Diploma in Accountancy & Finance from the Institute of Certified Accountants and is Prince 2 Qualified. Ian is based in the U.K. and has a basic level of French and Spanish.
